Datta mandir is few minutes’ walk from the famous Dagaduseth Halwai Ganpati Temple Pune. Deity of dattta is encompassing the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, collectively known as Trimurti. The name Dattatreya can be divided into two words - "Datta" (meaning given) and "Atreya" referring to the sage Atri, his physical father.

Datta Devotees residing in Pune and around often visit this temple and offer their prayers. Every day, Poojas are performed twice. On Thursdays, several special poojas are performed which attract a great number of people.
