Noida has an IT hub with several leading software companies and BPOs operating from there, as well as a Special Economic Zone that has attracted many offices and industries.
The film City in Sector 16A is a major production centre for TV serials and films.
Noida also has a large sports stadium, which is being upgraded currently to host events of the 2010 Commonwealth Games. such situated to the north of Delhi, it is across the Yamuna River, and a lot of vegetables, sugarcane and wheat is grown in the agricultural tracts around it.
The children's park is a major attraction here.
Noida Golf Course in Sector 37 is one of the better-known golf courses of India. It is an 18-hole course, with a large lake at the 7th hole; and it was also the site of the historic battle of Delhi.
Akshardham Temple is across the border of Delhi but just 2-3 km from Noida. Built only a few years ago, this Swaminarayan temple complex draws thousands of devotees and tourists each day.
Delhi Darshan can easily be done from Noida since Connaught Place is only 14km away. You can go to the city centre and book a guided tour to see the capital's highlights.
Zoological Gardens or the Delhi Zoo is just about 8km from Noida, and is a place worth visiting.
Pragati Maidan is the hub of Delhi where all the International Trade fairs and exhibitions are held; it is just 5-6 km from Noida.
