On his way to this cave, he left behind his vehicle Nandi at Pahalgam, moon at Chandanwari and snake at Lake Sheshnag. In addition, at Panjitarni, he left five elements of life and left his son, Lord Ganesha at Mahagunas Parvat.

Inside the cave, tourists can see an enshrined image of ice formed naturally, which resembles Lord Shiva Lingam. Besides, there are two other ice formations inside this cave, which represent Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha.
