Lord Balaji Temple at Fanaswadi, Mumbai is dedicated to the Lord of the Seven Hills Sri Venkateswara Swamy. The main deity of the temple is the replica of the deity at Tirumala Temple. This temple observes all religious programs starting from Suprabhata Seva to Ekanta Seva according to the same tradition following in Tirumala Temple. The temple is populary known as Bombay's(Mumbai's) Little Tirupati.

Temple History: :- Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple was consecrated on July 10, 1927(Friday) in the presence of His holiness the "Jagadguru Prathivadi Bhayamkara Srimad Ananthacharya Swamji Maharaj of Kanchi". The temple was constructed in Dravidian Style strictly according to Silpa Sastra. Some of the idols(images) found in this temple were belong to the Chola Period(1080 to 1130A.D.). These icons had brought from Udaya Rajendrapuram near Vaniyambadi, Tamilnadu are exquisite pieces of art.

The other deities in the temple are Sri Vardaraja Swami, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, Sri Rajagopala Swamy with Goddess Rukhmini and Satyabhama and Sri Rama, Lakshmana and Goddess Sita.

How to Reach: :- From Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus(CST), Mumbai, pick up bus route no 103. It takes 15minutes to reach Fanaswadi. The distance from CST to Fanaswadi is 2.5km.

Mahalakshmi Temple :- As the name suggests Mumbai’s Mahalakshmi Temple is dedicated to the Goddess Mahalakshmi who is the Hindu Goddess of wealth and prosperity. Mahalaxmi Temple has three idols of Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, and Mahasaraswthi.

Mumbadevi Temple :- “Mumbadevi” is the Marthi word for the Sanskrit phrase “Maha Amba” or “Great Mother”. Goddess Mumbadevi is the patron Goddess of the Fisherman community (Koli community) who were the original inhabitants of Mumbai. Mumba Devi is also the main deity of  Mumbadevi Mandir. There is a black stone idol of Goddess Mumbadevi in the Mumbadevi Temple. To the left of Goddess Mumbadevi is a stone figure of Goddess “Annapurna” seated on a peacock. In front of Goddess Mumbadevi is a tiger, on whom the Goddess travels.

Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple :- Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple is the richest Hindu temple in Mumbai. In the room where the main Lord Ganesh idol is placed, the roof is plated with gold. The wooden doors to this room are carved with images of the “Ashtavinayak” (the eight manifestations of Ganesh in Maharashtra). There is also a small Hanuman temple near Siddivinayak Temple. The Ganpati at Siddhivinayak Temple is also referred to as “Navasala Pavanara Ganpati” or “Navasacha Ganapati”.

Babulnath Temple :- Babulnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva in the form of the Lord of the Babul tree is the main deity of Babulnath Temple. The Babulnath Temple was originally built in 1780. The Shiv Linga at the Babulnath Temple is said to date back to the 12th century. Along with the Shiva Linga, there are three other idols of Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman at the Babulnath Temple. People of all faith can visit the temple.
