The Nava Kailasam Temples are Navagraha Temples where Lord Shiva itself is considered the particular Graham or planet. All the Temples are situated on the banks of the river Thamirabarani. The history of Navas instructed by Saint Agasthiyar, his disciple Romasa Maharishi plucked the flowers and made them float on River Thamirabarani. The first flower stopped at Papanasam, The second flower at Cheranmahadevi, the third flower stopped at Kadaganallur, the fourth flower at Kunnathur, the fifth flower at Murappanadu, the sixth flower at Sri Vaikundam, the seventh flower at Then Tiruperrai, the eight flower at Rajapathi and the last flower at Saentha Poomangalam. All the nine places are considered as Navagraha Sthalams and a visit to these temples are considered as visiting the appropriate Navagraha Temple.

Day 02 - - Morning visit Nava Kailasam - Sernthamangalam , Rajapathi , Murappanadu , Kunnathur , Kodanallur , Cheramadevi , Papanasam , Night halt in Tirunelveli .
Day 03 – Morning visit Nellaippar Temple ,Gandhimathi temple, Nanguneri Perumal Vanama malai temple one of the Divya Desam - Drop at Station by evening for onward journey -
