Ambajogi Yogeshwari Devi Temple Ambajogai is well known for Yogeshwari Temple, located 25 kilometres from Parli Vaijnath, the temple is among the most revered temples of Beed District. Yogeshwari is a Sanskrit name which means "Goddess Durga". Shri Yogeshwari is an ancient temple of Goddess Durga, located at Ambejogai one of Goddess Shakti Peeth.

Yogeshwari Temple is consecrated to Goddess Yogeshwari who fulfils all the desires of her devotees. Yogeshwari temple stands on the western bank of the Jayanti river which flows through the city. The temple architecture is of Hemadpanthi style. The town is named as Ambajogai after goddess Ambabai Yogeshwari is a Sanskrit name which means "Goddess Durga".Yogeshwari Devi of Ambajogai is Marathwada's own theertha kshetra. Shri Yogeshwari is an ancient temple of Goddess Durga, located at Ambejogai one of Goddess Shakti Peeth.

Named after Goddess Amba which is form of Devi Parvati, Ambajogai town has many stories from hindu mythology. Placed on the banks of Jayawanti river, the town was also known as Jayawantinagar. The historical and oldest temple of the Goddess Yogeshwari has been famous from ancient time. The structure of the temple is in Hemadpanti style. Delicate carvings on the pillar are very attractive. Adjoining north gate is located the ‘Sarveshwar Teerth'. Adjoining the west gate are the temples of various deities. A festival is held here during Dassehra

Yogeshwari Temple has a huge main entrance which faces towards the East. A 'Nagarkhana' – place for musicians and 'Deepmal' stands before the main gate. On entering the temple complex through the eastern entrance, devotees can see a tall tower surrounded by four small towers. The tall tower is adorned with pictures of gods and goddesses. Delicate carvings on the pillar are very attractive. The ‘Sarveshwar Teerth’ is located next to the North gate. Adjoining the west gate are the temples of various deities.

In morning At 5:00 on can hear loud bhajans on the temple loud speakers. Tambul prasad at temple is the unique thing at this temple. Tambul prasad contains crushed paan.Sakshi ganesh temple which is at walking distance. It is being told that this ganpati remembers everyone who visits the temple.

Legend :Goddess Parvati also was known as Shree Yogeshwari Devi appeared at this place to kill demon Mahishasur. This historical and oldest temple of the Goddess  -Yogeshwari has been famous from ancient time. The architecture of the temple is in Hemadpanti style. The temple houses Omkar swarup idol of Goddess Yodeshwari. According to another legend, Goddess Yogeshwari slows the demon Dantasur and hence she is also worshipped as Dantasur-Mardini.

Ambajogi town has other heritage temples like Sakleshwar khambhi, Kholeshwar, Mukundraj cave and Dasopant Swami Samadhi, mukundraj samadhi, Kashivishwanath .  Yogeshwari Temple is considered as one of the Shaktipeeth temple of India.
